Your situation sounds somewhat frustrating. It's so irritating when you know that there is something wrong but it is not wrong enough to be able to actually do anything about it at a doctor's. I have that with my breathing at the moment, and am beginning to think that it will just remain sub-par forever. It's not as though I am keeling over, so I suppose it will do.

It's great that you've blogged again. Now I want another post, please. (Because I am very demanding.) You could always tell us how that doctor's visit you will undoubtedly have undertaken went... ;-)Optistatichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03000726114121989951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14867338926020948.post-87603125128397046102009-01-26T22:36:00.000+02:002009-01-26T22:36:00.000+02:00Yay! I was worried.

The Marfan group sounds like a good thing, and so nice that, just when the founders were giving up on it, that a lot of new people showed up at once. Yay! There is so much relief to be had just from getting together with other people who share your experience.

That there really isn't any medical attention paid to symptoms in Marfan's beside the eyes and heart doesn't surprise me. It's the same in EDS. All of the getting through the day stuff, dealing with intestinal stuff, dealing with chronic pain stuff--that all comes from people with EDS passing on experiential information to each other and then trying to convince their doctors to at least cooperate in managing the symptoms. From what I can tell, it's pretty nearly the same with all chronic multi-system conditions. Same with the symptom-based treatment rather than any approach that might deal with the condition as a whole.

I hope you are planning to see your doctor this coming weekend, at least. Make taking care of yourself the number one priority on Saturday, OK?yanubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16216993058216698199noreply@blogger.com
